La Seigneurie des Aulnaies

You have probably already heard of the Seigneurie des Aulnaies in Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies. It is often mentioned for its magnificent heritage heritage. We talk about the mill, the manor, the bakery. But today, with my perspective as a former horticulturist, I want to praise its horticultural assets.

The sunsets over the Charlevoix mountains are a colorful sight from the L'Islet wharf. In the mid-18th century, building a flour mill was part of the Lord’s obligations to his vassals in order to ensure their livelihood. The Seigneurie des Aulnaies therefore saw the erection of a first mill in 1739.
