THE WORKSHOP

Over the four days, you are led to create a photographic image that looks like you and is distinguished by its strong artistic character.

This is a creative photographic exploration guided by the artist Jean-Sébastien Veilleux. The workshop allows you to stage nature and more particularly the landscapes of the Port-Jolienne region.

The exploration is carried out using the techniques that SLR cameras and digital photo processing games allow. In this way, you integrate the notions of composition and aesthetics while inspiring yourself with the possibilities offered by nature.

Participants have the opportunity to develop their photographic perception and reconnect with the importance of taking the time to build a strong photographic image.

Day 1 - Theory 3 hrs
Day 2 - Theory and practice 4 h
Day 3 - Practice 5 hrs
Day 4 - Post production and printing 8 am

Course notes
Note sheets and pencils
A 8 x 12 canvas for photo printing
Transport to go to port-jolien photography sites
Photographic tools (wire, reader, filter), if necessary
Wi-fi connection
Projector, printer and computer (operated by Jean-Sébastien)
What you bring with you
One camera, one DSLR (with interchangeable lens), entry level or better quality version
A tripod, if possible
Two 8 or 16 GB memory cards depending on your device and a USB key
Appropriate clothing (for bad weather)
Provide a protector for the camera in case of bad weather
The prerequisites
The workshop is intended for beginners and/or intermediates. It provides basic photography skills, but the emphasis is on the creative aspect, the use of technique and photographic exploration in nature.
