Laeticia Poiré-Hill
Ambassadrice - Destination Région L'Islet
Originally from a small village on the banks of the Richelieu in Montérégie, I moved to Chaudière-Appalaches in the midst of the pandemic 3 years ago. Being an avid traveler, I learned to travel within Quebec, which is what led me to take the Navigators' Route along the river. I took advantage of this moment of pause, when the world seemed to be at a standstill, to visit the surroundings of our beautiful province, and more specifically the Chaudière-Appalaches region. This is precisely what led me to discover the beautiful region of l'Islet, between the river and the Appalachians. I have to confess that I've really fallen in love with it, as it has everything I need to be happy: beautiful rivers for paddleboarding, mountains for four-season outdoor activities and, of course, gourmet stops for the foodie in me. My father was born in La Pocatière, so I've always felt a strong connection to the villages along our beautiful St. Lawrence. Although I don't exactly live in the Islet region, it's always a pleasure for me to go there, and it's a place that really connects with me. There's so much to discover, and something for everyone! Accompanied by my faithful four-legged companion Paco, I make it my duty to share with you my favorites and must-sees in L'Islet!
