Lac Noir

Lac Noir de Tourville is a birding site recognized by Ducks Unlimited. You can observe more than 75 species of birds such as the black duck, the blue-winged teal, the American bittern or the great blue heron. The banks of this shallow lake, which covers an area of approximately 45 hectares, are colonized by aquatic vegetation that is a delight for the birds, amphibians and insects for which it provides a habitat. Lac Noir has a wooden footbridge and a belvedere for observing the winged fauna.

Access is free and equipped for people with reduced mobility. Picnic tables are set up so that you can enjoy lunch in the great outdoors and in good company! You can even venture out on the lake in a canoe or kayak. You can also go fishing if you have your fishing licence. 

To get there: from Highway 20 East: Take exit 414 (Saint-Jean-Port-Joli), then turn left on Route 204 West and continue for about 25 km. The parking lot is on Principale Street on the left, before arriving in Tourville.
